New Radiography Capabilities
Differential Amplifier: Low Input Noise Over Wide Bandwidth
Measurement Specialties (MEAS) now offers a 3-channel DC differential
amplifier with an exceptionally low noise input of less than 20 µVrms. The
new Model 121 enables precision measurement on up to three channels
simultaneously. Offering programmable gain up to 9,999 and user-defined
output scaling, the new signal conditioner is ideal for use with bridge-type
or differential output accelerometers, pressure transducers and load cells.
The unit’s low noise floor over a wide frequency bandwidth up 200 kHz
makes for exceptional, accurate measurement of dynamic signals. The
Model 121 is used in a variety of instrumentation lab, vibration and shock
testing as well as process monitoring applications. Full scale accuracy is
±0.5% and linearity is ±0.1%. The Model 121 also features an auto-zero
function that can be initiated by the operator to maximize voltage span in
the data acquisition system.

Laboratory Balance: More Reliable Weighing
The new Secura laboratory balance developed by Sartorius for applications in
regulated areas such as pharmaceutical labs fulfills particularly high reliability
requirements. The balance monitors its ambient conditions automatically,
thereby preventing handling errors. This increases the reliability of weighing procedures in pharmaceutical labs and helps users to achieve even
better measurement results. Nine different models of the Secura balance
are available, covering a range of weighing capacities from 120 grams to
5,100 grams, and a readability of 0.1 to 10 milligrams. The balance is also
equipped with various assistance systems designed to prevent further processing of uncertain weighing results, which frequently occur through operating errors during weighing. If errors occur, the balance identifies the uncertain
weighing results in the display and blocks their transmission. Secura can
therefore increase process reliability and decrease error rates in the lab.
Cameras with IP 65/67 Protection Solve Demanding Imaging Applications Baumer has expanded its GigE camera series with ten ew IP pro- tected models that have been specifically developed for particularly de- manding industrial environments. With IP 65 and IP 67 protec- tive housings, every sensitive
camera component, all the way to the lens, is protected from dust, water
spray, and temporary immersion. The cameras have an x-coded M12 connector that ensures a reliable connection to the data interface. Designed
for industrial uses, they can be powered by a 12 to 24 volt or Power over
Ethernet (PoE) supply.
The new VisiLine IP cameras offer either CCD or CMOS sensors and are
now available in VGA, 1.3, 2, and 4 megapixel resolutions. They achieve
frame rates up to 160 fps. Production-integrated color comparison ensures
virtually identical color reproduction by every camera in a model series.
This greatly simplifies applications with multiple cameras operating simultaneously. In addition, the CMOS cameras feature FPN (Fixed Pattern Noise)
correction and HDR (High Dynamic Range).
