Sensors
Miniature Capacitive Force Sensor
Single Tact is an ultra-thin, single-element capacitive sensor that accurately and reliably quantifies forces and delivers incredible performance including less than 1% repeatability errors in addition to being
more than 3X the sensitivity of resistive force sensors. A complete
turnkey solution is available to engineers wishing to collect force data
either in analog or digital configuration, while the interface board,
which allows easy analog or digital I2C integration, can be customized
for engineer’s own application. A choice of six sensor configurations
is provided including 8mm and 15 diameter sensors and a variety of
force ranges from 100g to 45kg full scale.

Ballistocardiography Sensors
SCA10H and SCA11H series Ballistocardiography (BCG) sensors
are designed for continuous contact-less patient monitoring in
elderly care centers, hospitals, or in the home. The sensors utilize
BCG techniques and ultra-sensitive Murata MEMS accelerometers
to provide vital sign information such as heart rate, heart rate variation, relative stroke volume, respiration rate, and bed occupancy.
The BCG sensors are available in two formats. The SCA10H-D01
is a solderable PCB module housing both the accelerometer and
microcontroller with embedded algorithms. Given that, it is well
suited for medical device and equipment manufacturers to incorporate into their own products, such as hospital beds.

Contactless, Wear-Free Miniature Sensors
Utilizing differential sensing technology, these sensors ensure
precise path length measurements in applications with highly confined spaces. Although the 4mm diameter housing of these LVDT
sensors are barely larger than a matchstick, their interior provides a
complete and powerful differential transformer measuring system with a core and coils. The contactless, wear-free sensors for
displacement and position detection achieve a linearity tolerance
of ±0.5% (optionally 0.25%) and are designed for the extremely
small measuring ranges of 1, 2. 5 and 5mm. With a housing made
of chemically nickel-plated steel (protection class IP65) and a
temperature range of - 25 to +85° C, these new miniature displacement and position sensors are suitable for use in harsh and
demanding environments.
The 8150 Series is designed to operate reliably over a minimum of 10
million shaft rotations with no signal output degradation. The non-con-tacting sensing technology also facilitates clean, ratiometric absolute
position outputs across multiple turns without sliding contact noise.
Units are available in a choice of three, five or ten turns, each powered
via a 5Vdc supply voltage. The ratiometric output range is from 4 to
96% of supply with a 12mA maximum current rating. MagnePot 8150
Series models also feature ±0.50% independent linearity as standard,
with optional improvement to ±0.25%. Standard operating temperature
range is -40 to +125oC.
