Press-fit PCB Pins for Plated Through-Hole
These press-fit pins from Mill-Max are designed with six new offerings for applications where
mechanical strength and/or power delivery are essential. These new PCB pins feature multi-facet-ed (polygon) geometries are suitable for solderless PCB termination or for direct soldering to the
board for those situations requiring it. The pins are often used in applications with more demanding mechanical/electrical requirements such as power supplies, power converters and any device
subject to blind mating or rough handling. They are typically staked into a PCB at the press-fit end
and either soldered or plugged in at the pin end. The smallest pin diameter in the group is .040”
while the largest is at .080”, typical sizes for DC-DC converters.
Finger Stock Shielding
The EMI shielding BeCu finger stock gaskets from Tech-Etch are offered in over 100 standard profiles.
The downloadable interactive sales drawings allow the user to modify the strips to their exact requirements. Beryllium copper’s mechanical and electrical properties make it designed for EMI/RFI shielding, with over 100db attenuation. BeCu offers maximum spring properties for strength and fatigue
resistance, as well as long life without compression set. Mounting options include Snap-on, Stick-on,
Clip-on, Track, extrusion, welding, and soldering. A variety of in-house plating options keeps lead times
short. In addition, Quick Delivery Programs are in place for both clean & bright and tin plated standard
and configured product to support customers’ urgent requirements.
PCR Tubes and Strips
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) microtubes and tube strips by MTC Bio are available from Terra’s Lab-oratory-Equipment. These are used for oil-free operations and help to reduce reaction time when used
in thermocyclers; ultra-thin polypropylene tubes efficiently transfer heat to speed reactions. Tubes are 0.2
mL, and come as individual tubes, or in strips of eight. Caps are included; order flat or domed shape to
cover the tubes. When closed, lids prevent loss of samples and reagents through evaporation. Hinged
caps are easy to open and close with one hand, and contain a shield to prevent exposure to contaminants on the lid surface. Each polypropylene rack carries 96 0.2 ml tubes, as tubes, strips or plate. Box
racks can be stored in temperatures down to -80°C (-112°F).

ProPlate has introduced two innovative electroplating processes that can be used to enhance
the functionality of catheters and other medical devices. Torg-Lok is a catheter braid innovation. It is
a proprietary process that atomically bonds metal to each braid pic crossing fusing them together,
as one. Torq-Lok® enhances traditional braided catheters performance by substantially increasing
torque response, torque to failure and twist. Viziband is a radiopaque marker innovation. It is a
proprietary metal coating process that atomically bonds directly to a catheter, guide wire, stent, or
similar component. The highly radiopaque and biocompatible metal coating can be selectively
applied to any section of the desired component, with endless options for customization.
