Fine Pitch SMT Gull Wing Connector Series
Mill-Max Mfg. Corp. announced the availability of its new fine pitch SMT
gull wing connector series. The series comprises the 860-10-0XX-30-
002000 (1mm gull wing SMT header available in 3 - 26 positions) and
the 861-13-0XX-30-002000 (1mm gull wing SMT socket available in 3 -
26 positions). With a board-to-board stack height measuring less than 0.3”
( 7.62mm), the Mill-Max gull wing series is ideal for tight, compact spaces
in which a surface mount, precision-machined connector is the preferred
design choice. In addition, the diameter of the leads – .014” (0,36mm) for
the socket, .015” (0,38mm) for the header – leaves a tiny footprint, saving
valuable PCB space.

Highly Flexible Thermocouple Cables and Assemblies
Cicoil announced the introduction of its Highly Flexible Thermocouple
Cables. Unlike traditional Thermocouple cables, the Cicoil version has been
designed for continuous motion, tight routing, excessive temperatures
(-65°C to +260°C) and extremely harsh environments. Cicoil’s flexible 28
AWG Flat Thermocouple Cable is available in Type J and K versions with 1
to 8 conductors, and is excellent for temperature sensing, control instrumentation, heating systems and automated equipment applications. The
compact, flame retardant solution is free of halogens & contaminants, and
is engineered to provide space & weight savings, durability and mission

Extremely Non-magnetic Micro-D Connectors
Small, robust and extremely non-magnetic. These are
the qualities of the new micro-D connectors developed by Axon’ Cable. These miniature connectors are
designed for devices that rely on magnetism when operating. This is the case, for example, for MRI scanners
where the magnetic field generated must remain constant and stable to
obtain reliable and high quality 3D images. The non-magnetic connectors
developed by Axon’ Cable have not only a very low residual magnetic field
(less than 1 nT – about 50,000 times lower than the earth’s magnetic
field), but it is also almost impossible to magnetize them. They cannot,
therefore, interfere with the magnetic fields produced by the magnets of
medical imaging devices or particle accelerators used by scientists.
