AMS has introduced the AS6200C, a digital temperature sensor IC which offers highly accurate
measurements in the temperature range of - 20°C to + 10°C. The AS6200C’s measurements are
accurate to ±0.2°C between - 20°C and 10°C, the temperature range over which storage equipment
for perishable goods operates. The sensor’s accuracy is guaranteed over the device’s supply voltage
range of 1.8 V to 3. 6 V.
The AS6200C integrates a sensor front end, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter and digital logic in a
small WL-CSP package. It provides a digital output over an I2C interface to any host microcontroller.
The device performs on-board digital signal processing, which means that it needs no user calibration, and its linearized output requires no compensation by an external microcontroller.
The AS6200C is intended for use in equipment for storing and transporting food, pharmaceuticals,
flowers and other perishable goods, as well as in domestic and commercial refrigerators. It is suited
to data loggers that comply with the EN12830:1999 class 1 standard.
The device extends the AMS family of small, accurate digital temperature sensor ICs, joining the
AS6200 sensor, which achieves peak accuracy between 0°C and 65°C.
Self-Clinching Torque Locknuts
PEMHEX self-clinching prevailing torque locknuts from PennEngineering are designed with a blue
nylon hexagonal insert designed to prevent mating screws from loosening in service due to vibration, thermal cycling, or other application-related factors. The reusable locking element provides the
necessary torque resistance to securely grip mating screws and allow for their repeated installation
and removal over time. The primary advantage of this locking method is to greatly reduce the possibility of conductive debris being generated from repeated installation and removal of mating screws.
Thread-locking torque performance is equivalent to applicable NASM25027 specifications. These PL
steel and PLC stainless steel locknuts install permanently in thin steel or aluminum sheets ranging
in thickness from .040 in. to .070 in. and l.0 mm to 1.78 mm. Shank lengths are .060 in. and 1.53
mm. Standard thread sizes are #4-40 through #10-32 and M3 through M5. Locking elements are
blue in color for unified fasteners and black for metric versions.
Thin-Film Heaters Are Self Limiting

Locking Connector Won’t Mismate
The 570 ELC Series, Easy Locking Connectors from Binder USA, LP is designed with a circular
layout that features 12 gold-plated pins. It is a locking system with snap hooks and clearly set
mating position (set through shape of mating area) prevents mismating. The female panel
mount connector provides IP54 protection from intrusion of liquids, water splash, and touch-
ing of the contacts. Mechanical resistance is greater than 5,000 mating cycles. The 570 ELC
