Two-Axis Beam Steering System
The two piezoelectric rotary stages in the DK-M3-RS-U-2M-20-L
developer’s kit have a familiar galvo-scanner form factor, but are
only 12mm in diameter. A closed-loop controller is embedded
in each tiny stage, making the complete system more than 25
times smaller than traditional systems with external controllers.
The built-in controller also simplifies system integration, enabling
direct input of high-level motion commands from a system processor via standard digital (I2C, SPI, UART) or analog servo interface. Each smart stage rotates a pre-mount-ed aluminum-coated mirror +/- 20 degrees
at up to 1100 degrees/second with angular
resolution of 0.05 degrees (1mrad).

Encoder for BLDC Motors
iC-MH16 is a one-chip solution for
magnetic sensor applications in fast
motor control units. Combined with a
diametrically magnetized permanent
magnet, in a QFN28 5 x 5mm package it
can be used to create a robust, universal
encoder for motor commutation and
positioning. It contains a Hall sensor array
with signal amplification control, a Flex-Count interpolator delivering incremental
and latency-free commutation signals,
integrated RS422 line drivers, and a
serial SSI/BiSS interface. The interpolator
delivers all interpolation factors from one
to 1,024, representing resolution of four
to 4,096 angular steps per turn. The high
incremental edge rate of 16MHz enables
