32 mm Planetary Gearhead for High
maxon motor has added two new gearheads
to the already successful GP 32 program. Significant improvements have been made to the
single-stage planetary gearhead: The planetary
carrier has been reinforced, the bearings have
been repositioned, and a ceramic version
is now available. With these new gearhead
versions for high radial loads, maxon is now
offering single-stage gearheads with extremely
heavy-duty radial bearings. These versions
are designed for applications such as toothed
belt drives, applications that place enormous
stress on the output stage due to the radial forces at work. The design of the GP 32 AR and GP 32 CR
gearheads takes these forces into account.

Pitch Adjustment Option for Linear Drive
Amacoil/Uhing has introduced a new option for Uhing RG linear drives which enables extremely fine adjustment to the linear pitch of the drive unit. Medical equipment designers will find that the new control
knob option permits pitch adjustment while the drive is moving without changing motor speed. Nor is
there any need for gear reduction. The pitch adjustment option enhances both positioning accuracy of
the drive unit and control over linear speed in linear motion applications. The standard linear pitch adjustment control on the Uhing RG drive is a lever which is manually moved to a notched setting on a scale.
Each notch increases or decreases pitch by 0.01. There are 100 discrete notched settings on the scale
which enable a 10:1 turndown of the linear pitch of the drive unit.

Analog Drives Output Nearly 5 k W of Peak Power
Available immediately are 6 new analog Z-Drive models with
increased current output of 60A peak and 30A continuous
designed with the same footprint and pin functionality as the
previous 40A versions. These new servo drives provide 50%
more power in the same space, making upgrades in power
output a simple drop-in replacement. Included are models
compatible with brushed and brushless permanent magnet
servo motors, with current and velocity mode operation and
options for +/-10V or PWM & Direction commands.
